New Construction
Starting from the ground up always offers great opportunities to develop new spaces. TELYK has been designing newly constructed buildings since the beginning. We are well versed in the use of all materials: steel, concrete, wood, masonry, light gage, aluminum and pre-fabricated systems. Additionally we are willing to tackle new materials whenever we have the chance. This has lead to explorations with fabrics, resins, plastics and carbon fiber.
RENOVATIONs and Adaptive Re-use
Living in New York means dealing with the existing building stock. Since the beginning, TELYK has been assisting building owners renovate and modify their existing buildings. Whether it is a gut renovation, vertical addition, horizontal addition or a full modification to the existing building, TELYK can bring their years of experience and expertise to the table.
Structural investigation
TELYK has been providing due diligence reports and structural investigation services to building owners, developers and institutions. Experience ranges from reviewing existing conditions, building failures, determining existing roof or floor capacities, studies on expansion of existing facilities, and providing guidance based upon our years of experience. TELYK also provides forensic engineering to building owners who have found that their buildings are damaged and need repair.
Examples of studies: Residual Roof Capacity for green roof or solar; Roof Deck Studies; Vertical and Horizontal additions to all sizes of buildings; and buyers due-diligence walk-through.
CONTRACTOR SUPPORT SERVICes
Designing a structure and building is very different than constructing them. TELYK brings a hands on approach with assisting Contractors during their projects. We have provided the following services to contractors:
Shoring of Existing Structures during demolition or removal and replacement of new structure.
Design of temporary construction structures.
